Also, get help from fusible tape

2. If you find any scratches on the edge of shade then trim it in advance.

3. If your shade contains very delicate and light colored material or fabric then try to use fusible tape or web. It is used on tear and melts to keep the fabric together like glue. Like sewing, trim or cut down any scratched edges of the shade before you actually using fusible tape to fix up wear & tear. For stronger bond between fabrics, you can use fusible tape with paper backing and steam it.

      You can easily find fusible tape or web in craft or fabric shop. They come up in different size & weights, so it is must that you choose the fits to your fabric & tear. Fusible tape is appropriate for larger tears.

4. You can also make patch of the fabric used within your shade if it’s available with you and later on can be stitched to torn part of the shade. If you have used regular and cheap shades, then the fabric could be purchased for the same.

5. While fixing the tear on the surface of your discount cellular shades, try to approach for the tear from the inner side of the cell. It will help you hide the patches, tapes or stitches on the shade.
